Sir,
With respect to a letter
from the Police Magistrate Ipswich
applying for Stretcher beds &c., for
the lock-up there; I beg to state
that as the Lock-ups in this Colony
have never proclaimed Gaols
of detention, and are therefore under
the Benches of Magistrates, I am
not in a position to afford any
information on the subject matter
referred to me
