My dear mother
Thy nice letter from Newport came yes-
terday a good deal sooner than I thought I could hear
from you. Did you leave or not on Wednesday or Tues-
day? Please tell father that I am very much obliged to him
for the money and that the board due when I leave about
a week after school classes will be for one day less than
five weeks. Is the King fisher launched yet? I suppose
of course the row boat is off. We are having lovely
weather for our last few days and I wish that
you could be here Sunday. As the [?] is not
spreading at all and there seems to be almost no danger
of it and as I had recently been vaccinated there seemed to
be no use to have it done again. The couple have not yet come.
