My dear Mother
When the telegraph came yester-
day I was very much afraid that in spite of all
that I had said thee was coming on. A visit
would be perfectly delightful but to come expecting to
find me sick when I am well would be a great pity.
Thayer spent part of yesterday afternoon with me and
I enjoyed his visit very much. I began school again
this morning and can easily make up what I lost.
We finish De Senectute today and will take up phy-
sics in a few days probably. The term ends this month,
We are reading the 6th Bk of the Iliad but have skipped
the 2, 4. and 5th. I feel well and hope you are W.W.S.
