I enclose you the Bill of Mr A Meisel $67.20 for one half of a lith Stone County a plan of the Cemetery on the reverse of which is a plan of Streets belonging to the City of Boston --

I presented a lith bill $67.20 to Alderman Slack [Otis? Count?] on printing after conference with Mr Davis Surveyor of Streets, he decided it was for the interest of the City to purchase the Stone in connection with the proprietors of Mt Auburn. The bill has been approved & is with the City Auditor for payment to Mr M -- I have approved the above bill -- You will please call upon Mr Davis & arrange with him some place in the City Hall for the storage of the

Stone which is to be held hereafter for the joint use of the City of Boston & Mt Auburn Cemetery Cor. --

Please have the matter attended to at once & obg yours truly

Mr Hack Chairman of the Comt on Printing of the City Council understands the matter as I have stated above & the Stone will be held for the use of either party The proprietors of the Cemetery will preserve this note as evidence of the fact The matter is not of sufficient importance to get an order of the City Council [upon?] -- Yrs Truly
