The Committee to whom were referred the Several Communications of Mr Spooner touching his resignation of the Office of Gardener at Mt Auburn, and with power to make such Settlement as they should deem advisable - and also to make such arrangements respecting the Greenhouse, plants &c as in their judgmnt should be proper beg leave to report.

That after many interviews with Mr Spooner and much consideration, Mr Spooner has withdrawn his resignation and an arrangement has been effective with him on the following terms.

The Corporation shall purchase back from Mr Spooner the Greenhouse at the price paid for, the same by him with the interest added and shall lease the same with the land now under lease to him for the yearly rent of one hundred twenty five dollars

Mr Spooner shall collect all the bills for labor & care of lots now duefor his own useand shall pay all his indebtedness to the Corporation, as the same would have been done under the previous agreement. - He shall purchase of the Corporation the stock of plants, pots &c in the Greenhouse at the price of five hun

ded dollars and shall take a lease of the greenhouse & grounds as aforesaid & shall during the term of the lease keep the greenhouse in good repair at his own expense.

This arrangement being satisfactory to Mr Spooner & as the Committee think for the interest of the Corporation, they recommend that authority be given to carry the same into effect.
