Mr. Lovering,

Dear Sir,

Will you please tell me how the lots at Mount Auburn are marked, which require "perpetual care". I have been told the marking is on iron tablets which are stuck in the grouind. Is there any way to prevent their being easily removed?

In our cemetery the words are cut in the one of the granite corner posts, but it is claimed that they will fill up

in time. Can you suggest anything that will be permanent and yet cannot be taken from the lot?
