My dear Sir=

My mother has been to Mt. Auburn this morning & reports the grass quite thin in some places in the lot & over the trellis covering the head stone marked "Nellie B. Merriam" was left the old dead portion of a vine giving it a most uncared for

so sacred to me has been neglected & makes me feel that I have been deh derilict in duty in having so much confidence in yr. men.

look - She cut away the vine & removed it— I suppose this indi-cates that your men cannot ^or do not properly take care of the lot - If such is the case, I wish you would frankly say so to me that I may put it into the hands of a private gardener-
