Dear Sir

I have your note about Story Statue Fund

The balance to the Cor of this account has stood for the past 10 years $990.97. It seems to me that it is fitting that a statue of Gov Andrew should be placed in the Chapel as one of the historical series & that with the consent of the subscribers to the Story Statue the fund remaining might be used as a nucleus to collect the amount required the Corporation could order the interest for the past 10 years to be added to the above income, which would give a very good start.

the original subscription for the Story Statue was $3680 only as per list herewith $530 was collected by Mr. Curtis of parties not known to me except himself Mr. Brimmer.

This amount grew by accumulation of interest so that we were able to pay Mr. Story $5528. - in full & have the above named balance.

I also enclose extract from the will of Judge Story
