Office of Mt Auburn Cemetery

July 1870

The committee to whom was referred the communications of Mr A C Trull and Henry Blaney Esq. and the letter of the Supt accompanying the same.

Make the following Report:

They have examined the tombs of Mr Blaney, and Mr Trull, and find a portion of each in bad condition, They were informed by the Mason under whose charge they were built, that the walls were laid up late in the fall of the year, and in his opinion the action of frost upon the mortar, was the original cause of the displacement of the side walls of the tombs. As the Tombs were so lately build, fo rthe parties, by this corporation, we recommend the relaying of the side walls and making such other repairs, if any, as may appear to be necessary to put the tomb in good order, at the expense of Mt Auburn Cemetery, at such^early time as may be convenient to the Superintendent
