enlarging the Family lot by extending it to the Church
avenue, wrote me a note asking if I would
consent to relinquish my lot, to which I assented
& reconveyed it, receiving from the Treasurer the certificate
which I now hold authorizing a location elsewhere
of 500 sq. feet as an original subscriber - - - An
arrangement was subsequently made (when I was
absent at the South) to locate us where we were
at first & Mr. Abbot Lawrence, in order to settle
the matter, took the deed from my lot in his name
& afterward offered it to me; He paid for the lot,
not knowing that I had a certificate of having
already paid for it, & for the same number of sq. feet.

Now what I ask of the Trustees is to restore
me the lot that I selected & paid for - 5 or 6
years ago, to accomplish which it will be necessary
to reimburse Mr. Lawrence & with Interest if he
requires it, for as it now stands, the Trustees
have been paid twice for the same lot.
