Boston, March 8. 1871
The Special Committee who were instructed to consider "what action may be necessary or expedient in regard to the use and appropriations of the lately purchased land west of the Cemetery" respectfully recommend the passage of the following Votes. -
For the Com John T. Bradlee -chr
Voted - that the lot of land recently purchased by the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn of Re. John J. Williams - Roman Catholic Biship of Boston, - situated on the westerly side of their Cemetery, be and hereby is annexed to said Cemetery and made part thereof -
Voted - that the Secretary be directed to send a copy of the foregoing vote to the Asessors of Watertown. -

Voted - that the Committee on Grounds be instructed to cause an iron fence of the same design and finish as that now bounding the Cemetery on Mt Auburn Street, to be placed on that part of the line of the lot recently purchased of Bishop Williams - running on saidMt Auburn Street.
Voted - that the subject of the laying out and occupancy of said land be referred to the Committee on Grounds to c onsider and report. -
