The Committee on Grounds to whom was referred the Subject of Surveying in the Cemetery beg leave to report
That they have conferred with the Superintendent, who laid before them two Communications from Mess. Shedd & Sawyer, with proposals for doing the surveying proposed by him and after hearing the Explanations of Mr Folsom & his statements as to the necessity of the work, they are of opinion that it is expedient that the interests of the Cemetery require, the work to be done & they recommend that the Superintendent be authorized to contract with Mess Shedd & Sawyer for the work specifies in Nos 1 2 & 3 of their letter of April 4, 1870 - the Expense not to exceed $500
