Dear Lovering --

In looking over the policies of the Corporation I find one covering the "Pumping Station $1000 -- Pumps $1.000 -- [Up..? She.. boston & Engine?] $400 -- Horizontal tubular [Sti..? lockes? its?] Setting & [barl..?] fixtures contained in said building $600 -- in all $3.000 -- This policy expired July 18, 1883 1883-07-18 -- I cannot find that this policy was ever renewed or that the risk has been covered by any other pol. -- unless it is insured against damage by Explosion; the pol. or agreement of which, I have an impression that you hold. -- I don't find the Expired policy entered in my [Mo..o?] book of Insurance which puzzles me somewhat -- Can you Explain?
