I have before me a letter from your Treasr, Mr H.B. Mackintosh, of the 8, [date?], written to my Nephew, Mr T.L. [Savier?]. I am not only grieved but pained, to hear that my son, John M. could not pass out of my hands without my consent or written order;
Would you be kind enough to inform me whether my son, John M. Coleman, sold or transferred to Mr Joseph S. [Bilr..?] the whole of the lot, no1117, or only a part thereof. Also if my son had the right to appraise of Said lot without my consent, or knowledge.
I have not written to the Superintendent about the lot for sometime past, feeling and thinking it was in safe hands.
My last [commes..tion?] was [Sr?] and Mr Austin J. Coolidge. I need to say it was a great
surprise to learn of the transfer.
As the death of my husband [next few words indecipherable] [line indecipherable] for me, and Guardian for our [s..?] {says?]
If not asking too much, I would like to know the full particulars.
An early reply will greatly oblige.
Very Respectfully yours
Mrs. F. H. Coleman, 61, Courtland Street, Baltimore Md
