Dear Sir,

Yours [?] date 17. inst, is at hand I have written a letter & mailed to day to Edward Austin Esq^r explaining matters, and they probably will accept it at $1000⁰⁰ after. $140⁰⁰ repairs are made on the Lot. I have made out. a Report on the "Saunders" and "Merrill Lots" and should have sent^^them by mail also, but I could not get time to get the dimensions of the New Monument on the Saunders Lot as they are [?] me on all "[tacks?]" shall mail them in the morning. A pleasant trip to you!
