A.S. Coolidge Esqr. Secretary. "Proprietors c Mt Auburn Cemetery" No 33 Chool St. Boston.

Dear Sir

Your letter under date 20th inst. giving me official notice of my [?] that day been chosen by their Trustees Superintendent of "Mt Auburn Cemetery" was received by to days Mail.

I think therefor the honor confered upon me in this selection of [myself?] to fill the place made vacant by the resignation of Mr. [?] Mann.

I notice "It was further voted, "I be requested to enter upon my duties sometime between the first day of August and prior to the first day of Steptember next as shall [?] my convenience"

I also notice in postscrip The amount of Salery and priveledge of [?] occupation of c/House; now occupied by Mr Mann. All of which is in accordance with what I had previously learned in regard to the matter of Compensation
