Mr. Milmore says he expects the Sphinx at Mt. Auburn this fall as promised.

If this is so, it would be well to have the shed ready framed to put up over it at once.

Mr. Milmore says it will require shed room ^about^ as shown within: (35 ft long, 30 ft wide, 25 ft high. in center-.)

I have carpenters now that I shall be discharging soon.

Corporation is to provide shed-room, and if I am to build the same; I would respectfully suggest that I be authorized to procure the joists or timbers for the same, & be have them framed, this fall, so as to be ready to clap the shed up without delay around the Sphinx, when it arrives.

Of course a shed for winter sculpture will have to be pretty tight, in order to be easily & economically warmed; therefore framing the joists will be desirable for so large a shed Very respectfully, CW Folsom Super

P.S. The boards can be got at short notice any time, also shingles &c.

But the frame, windows, door, &c, cannot be got so well at a moment's notice.

The frame timbers would not be wasted, even if by some fatality they failed of their use.

The outlay would not be great ^ say $50 for the frame ^ at a rough guess the total outlay would be frame - $50._ Door & windows - $20._ Boards, shingles, &c - } - 150. to come by & by ___} Sundries -- 30 Labor -- $100. Total cost of shed - 350.- A building of this

character could probably be sold to McDonald, (allowing him something if thought proper for ground rent,) after we had done with it.
