Trustees _ _

was called to Errors in the accounts so large and
apparently of so grave a character, that they reported the
facts to the Trustees for their action in the premises. _

In consequence of this a Committee consisting of
the Committee on Regulations and Records of Interments
and the Finance Committee was appointed to Examine
the Superintendent's books and vouchers and to report
at a subsequent meeting.

Report of Comee on Mann suit _ continued _

At a meeting on the this Committee
reported that charges had been made against the Super-
intendent
, (which appeared to be corroborated by Entries
in the books,) of direct violation of a well known
By-law of the Corporation, and involving the integrity
of Mr Mann, and they recommended that a meeting
of the Trustees should be held at an early day, and
that Mr Mann should be notified of the charges
made, and be requested to appear before the Board at
such meeting.

At the same meeting it was stated that Mr
Mann
had proposed to deposit in the hands of the
Treasurer
one thousand dollars ($1000.) to meet
any deficiences or inaccuracies which on a further
and full investigation of his accounts might be proved;
and it was voted that the Treasurer be authorized
to receive of him the said sum as proposed, and to
give a receipt therefor. _ In persuance of this vote,
the sum of one thousand dollars ($1000.) was deposited
in the hands of the Treasurer by Mr Mann, and a
receipt given therefor, a copy of which is hereto annexed.
