At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee, held, , present, Judge Story, General Dearborn, Dr Bigelow, Mr Bond and Mr Brimmer -
Loan of $5000
Voted, that in the opinion of their Committee it is expedient to borrow five thousand dollars to be reimbursed with interest out of the ^first proceeds of sale of Cemetery lots, and to be applied to the purchase of land lying on the West side of the Garden & Cemetery, and to the making of improvements in the Mount Auburn Estate

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee held , present, Gen: Dearborn Dr Bigelow, Messr Bond, Gould and Everett
Voted that Gen. Dearborn, Dr Bigelow and Mr Brimmer, be a committee to cause a Cottage for the Superintendant to be built, and the garden grounds to be laid out, provided the expense do not exceed two thousand dollars;--

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee, held present Mr Bond, Dr Bigelow and Mr Pratt--
An application by the Proprietors of Tremont House, for a grant of land to erect a Tomb upon, was considered, and it was,-- Voted that this Committee cannot accede to the request of the Proprietors of Tremont House-

Circular Letter & Subscription
Voted that Mr Bond & the Secretary be a Committee to prepare a circular letter and to employ a proper person to distribute it and obtain subscribers for cemetery lots, if the Comeedecree it expedient--
Hagerston Gardener.
Voted that Genl Dearborn make an agreement with Hagerston to be the Superintendant & Gardener at Mt Auburn, for one year from 1st March 1833 at a salary not exceeding six hundred dollars--

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Com-- mittee, held , present— Judge Story, General Dearborn, Mr Bond, Mr Cook, and Mr Gould, the following preamble and vote are passed—
Carriages excluded
Whereas sundry interments have been made in the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, and it has now become indispensably necessary, in order to carry into effect the original purposes of the consecration of the said grounds, to exclude carriages and horses— Voted that after current no horses or vehicles except those attending on funerals, will be admitted into the grounds of Mount Auburn;—
Visitors will be admitted through the lodge-door leaving their carriages and horses at the gateway where conveniences will be found for fastening them—
Superintendant's Books.
Voted that Messr Bond & Curtis provide suitable books for the Superintendant to keep the registry of interments in—
Voted that Messr Bond & Curtis cause the inscripttion over the gateway to be removed, and the same inscription to be replaced in larger letters—
Posts &c.
Voted that Gen: Dearborn, cause posts & rails to be set up outside the Gate for the purpose of fastening horses—
Public Lot &c.
Voted that Gen: Dearborn cause the Garden ^paths &c. to be finished, & the Public Lot to be completed, & the ground about the Gate put in order, provided the expense do not exceed $150 dollars—

Proprietors admitted with Vehicles
At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee, held , present, Judge Story, Gen: Dearborn, Mr Cook and George Bond— it was voted— that the Proprietors of Lots in the Cemetery be admitted into the grounds with their vehicles, and that Tickets entitling them & their families to admission be sent to them— which tickets shall not be trans-- ferable,— and shall be available for the present year
Posts to be set up.
Voted that Gen Dearborn be a Committee to cause posts to be set up on the East side of Chestnut Avenue, near the receiving tomb, for fastening horses
Horses to be fastened-
Voted that no persons be permitted to fasten horses to the trees or elsewhere within the grounds than to the posts above mentioned—
Rate of drive
Voted that no vehicle be driven within the grounds at a rate faster than a walk—
Rules to be subjd to Tickets
Voted that these regulations, which are indispensable to the quiet and good order of the grounds as a place of burial, be subjoined to the Tickets of admission, and that by a violation of them, the privilege of admission with vehicles shall be forfeited—
Voted that the Treasurer complete the payment of Brazee and Stone's bills for work on the Gate and Cottage—
Path round Forest Pond
Voted that Gen. Dearborn be a committee to finish the path round Forest Pond—
New Lots to be laid out.
Voted that Gen. Dearborn be a Committee to lay out fifty lots for sale—

Lots to be sold
Voted that the Treasurer, Mr Bond, advertize a sale of lots on the grounds, on some day in May or June next as he may deem best—
Tickets &c.
Voted that Mr Bond be a Committee to provide Tickets for the Proprietors— a bell for the Gate— and a sign to be placed within the gateway con-- taining the regulations for visitors in carriages

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Commee held , present, Judge Story, Mr. Bond, Dr Bigelow, Mr Cook and Mr Gould— it was
Workmen employed
Voted that all persons employed to work on the grounds at Mt Auburn, either in The Garden or Cemetery, shall be employed by and be responsible accountable to the Superintendant—
Gates to be shut
Voted that all the Gates leading into the Garden or Cemetery shall be under the control of the Superintendant, and he shall see that they are locked every night and the keys deposited in his house—
No lots to be in Central Square
Voted that no lots be laid out in Central Square or on the summit of any of the Hills, without the special order of the Committee
Treasurer's Accounts
The Treasurer's Accounts, accompanied by the report of Mr Gould, who had been appointed to audit them, were approved and passed—
Monument [to] Miss Adams
Voted that the Treasurer pay thirty five dollars for the iron fence round the Monument erected to the memory
