Sweetheart,
I am just starting for Clyde; I came over and sewed with your Mother a little while this morning and she insisted on my taking the cutter to Clyde this afternoon I shall enjoy a lovely ride very much and it will do me more good than to rush in town and make a 40 mile trip of it between now and supper time.
Your dear Mother asked me to go with your Father and Grace to the concert

tonight; as you have a heavy night's study. I have accepted her kindness and shall go - How I wish you could go, though, Darling.
I have been a good girl and carried out all your instructions to the letter got some three glasses full of beastly warm water both night and morning my head still aches intensely
Darling, how good you are to me.
Your loving Sunshine
