Know all men by these Presents
that I David E Hamblen of Colusa County
and State of California do hereby appoint
William P Hanson of Sutter County and
State aforesaid, my attorney in fact
irrevocable; with full power to make [&?]
appoint a substitute, and in my
name, place and stead, to ask for
demand, receive, recover and to
[illegible] for, all sums of money, debt
dues or effects whatsoever; due and
payable to me from the Government
of the United States by the Indian depart-
ment [department] of the Interior. And to do and
perform all and every act necessary
for the purposes aforesaid; wherein
I ratify and confirm all the acts
of my attorney aforesaid as fully and
binding as if done by myself
