Coll in morning -

Very warm at noon - appearance of rain at night Made tire & hooped Booth's wheels. Mother & Milly went to Mr Price's Milly stayed all night. Amos Webster moved into Mr Wilson's house over the creek-

---15 Saturday -- Rains to day - It is 16 years to day since the death of my father - Milly is at her fathers since Friday - I stayed there to night.

16 Sunday Cloudy and warm. Milly came home. Wm Campbell & wife went to Wilmington.

Monday May 17th

Warm - Took mother to Cherry Hill - Went to Saxton's and got 5 bus wheat - took it to Scotts and got it ground - Brought Charles Harlen's trunk from Cherry Hill.

18th Worked in shop - went to see Booth about wagon. Cool in morning - Miss B. wants to build a dry-house - Met George Holloway on road - Mr Price sick - Milly went to stay all night

19 Cold in morning - Went to Elk Landing for coal & to Walmsleys mill - Took supper with Mother & Rachel - Recd letter from Enoch Cloud & Lib. Nelson Jane Watson paid us a visit

20 -- Worked at making fence Mother came back from Cherry Hill & Olivia -- Joe went to Walden Reads Mill -- heard that Mr Morris was unwell from a fall -

21 -- Frost this morning Went in morning to Cowantown. Stopped with John Brooks and look at his guns -- Went to Holloway's - Bought paint stone(?) & Muller $4 - He could not find his son's letter relative to varnishing - promised to write and get inform ation - Keeps bachelor's hall Went to Scott's and took dinner got some handles & shafts Shafts 31 - Handles 28 & 35 - Rake teeth 60 cts per set

Saturday May 22nd 1852

Cloudy in morning - Took Mother to Elkton - met Frank Harvey coming from Va. Was at sale of Wharms Mill. Purchasers Watson & McCrea $7900. Sent Dr. Mitchell up to see V.

23rd Sunday Warm. Mr. Helmbold preached at N Leeds Ps. 119-83 -- Mr Morris & Sam came here in evening - Thunder storm

24 Warm - Worked in shop went with Thomas Brown to Harlans & to Marley to turn mill spindle. Joseph Miller called adn made settlement.

25 May Warm - Worked in shop - Milly & Helen went to Mr Morris's Boulden came to Alms-house and had to move back again. Two men in hack looking for land

20 Warm - made fence in morning and got cows into pasture - was sick at noon Stephen Johnson came over Miss B. wanted Beehives

27 made 2 bee-hives for Miss B. Jerry Steel plowed potato patch Thunder storm & rain - fine warm, growing weather

28 Warm - cloudy worked in shop
