Pleasant day - Sale of Mrs
Wilson's property to day - Mrs
Price came home from Phila.

Weather warm - Went in
morning to Elkton and took cars
for Havre de grace - Went up in
Boat to Port Deposit. came in
afternoon to Havre and took
supper at Mr Fosters. left at
eight in cars for Elkton - stayed
all night with mother.
So ends this year 1852 - a
year of great abundance
and of general prosperity -
remarkable in the death of
two distinguished statesmen-
Clay and Webster, and in
the election of Franklin Pierce
to the Presidency by a large
majority over Gen. Scott.
