June
Sunday 7 Visited the
Hospital prayed with
the Sick went to the
Episcopal church and
herd a good sermon
had no service in the
grove this after noon
but prayr it was cold
and windy very small
turn out the pay master
made his appearance
this afternoon attended
pray meeting at night in
the babtist church

Monday 8 our cavalry brot
in 14 Rebels the pay master
paid off. I received 174.60
for 1/2 month pay when at home rode out
this evening with the Col
pay master and his clerk
quite a row to night in
camp Some of the men
drunk had prayr in
head quarters very cold
to night but am
comfortable
