Aprill
Sunday 5th terible Snow Storm
from 10 to 12 inches on the ground
in my quarters nearly all day no
church Service to day held meeting
to night in the room of the (__)
a few of them present I cannot
See much chance to doe good
in the army the men are so
notorious wicked it is being more
than was(?) a mater of conscience
with me weather or not I should
be here unless I can be usefull
to my Reg I will leave I spent
some time after meeting
in conversation with the
quarter Master and Capt
Christie my rheautism is still
bad. other wise I am in good
health
(following is written and then crossed out)
wrote home to my
family and also to H. Shelborn(?) of Wilmington
