Untranscribed 1862

April
Thursday 2 this day warm
and pleasant was at the quarter
master nearly all the fore noon
in the after noon went to the Gen
hospital with Capt Christie
through his request I went
with his wife to See Gen Kelly
to see if we could succeed in
getting his son who is sick at
the hospital a Sick leave of
absence but was only unsuccessful
returned to my quarters am in
good health thank my heavenly father.

Friday 3 a lovely morning
went down to the rail road
after diner mised my pockett
lock(?) and returned to my quarters
where I had left in in changing
my clothes my Black boy had it for
me went down again to town
and got my wach fixed our
waggons returned and loaded
up I will have to wait until
they come back again
am in good health for
which I feal thankfull
