Untranscribed 1862

March
Thursday 26 had a bad attack
of rheumatism last night but
better this morning received a
letter to night from home
our Reg Recd orders this morning
to pack up with one day rations
need to ready for march dont
know where we are going
busy til 10 oclock at night
getting ready

Friday 27 this day very
pleasant and warm took a
walk up to the 4th Reg herd
there band playing Col Horn
moved his quarters to day
about five marching orders
came to move to night
to Berryville 20 miles from
heare into Va but the officers
considered not to leave until
morning I am in good
health for which I feal
truly thankfull dont know
when I shall get home
now my trust is in
god may I please him
in all things
