The catholic Bolzano defines it as "the science of the rules upon which we must proceed in distributing the field of truth among the different sciences and in composing textbooks for each of them."] [Wundr ar?] the conclusion of his logic (for that work does, at last, come to an end) says that, in "the hue sense of the word," Wissenschaftslehre takes as the proper subject of its investigations the methods and results of the special sciences, with a view to the formation of a metaphysics (Weltanscha[uu?]ng).
