As to breaking or making Peace, the Advice of their Emperor,
Kings and Warriors &c, are necessary, and they consult in their Town
Houses sometime sseveral Months before they agree to break the Peace;
a bold Indian, who has some military Merits, may with a menacing
Speech put them all in a Confusion, and prevent the War, altho' it be
already agreed upon by all the rest, not much unlike a polish slack-
shiz (: b :) (petty Nobleman :) by this it appears, that all the Power of the
Indian head men consists in no more, than their Advice, or rather force
of persuading.

As the Cherokees, like unto the rest of all northern Indians,
are expert in, and fit for nothing but Hunting, one shold conjecture,
that they came from Japheth, the Son of Noah; this Japheth had seven
sons, and of five {videlicet} the 2, 3, 5, 6, & 7^th, called Magog, Madai, Tubal, Mesech,
and Tiras no mention is made by the Pentateuch, what is become of them and

Capes will fit the Capes & Bayes of Europe & Africa, in Case the Atlantic
Ocean is cut out of the Map.
