Hands of Mr. Abraham Ireland which I have indors'd on your Note of Hand
for £200 (dated 23rd April 1765) to James Apthorp observe you intend to be in
Boston the middle of next Month in order to settle your concerns with Mr. Apthor to
which remain unsettled & prupose my taking your Debtors affairs into
my Hands in order to pay your Debt to him which I can by no means
think of undertaking you being the proper person to settle your own
Affairs & to collect the Money due to you must recommend your using
all the diligence you can to effect the Same in order for a speedy discharge
of the Debts you owe Mr. Apthorp mean time I am
Your most hum' Servt.

PS. The money by Mr. Ireland was

Inclos'd you have my Acct. with Mess. Watts & Moss by
which it will appear there is due to me £48.3.3 e £34.12.8 forPrincipal &
£13.10.7 Interest for which have given you seperate orders on Mr. John
Moss one for the Principal & [???] other for the Interest both which doubt
not he will pay as it is quite just & now become a settled [?custom]
all on Interest on Book Acc [???] you'll please thereofre to urge the Paymt.
of both but if you find he is strained & cant pay more than the order for
the principal please to take up with that four compliance will
much oblige
