MR. DOUGLASS:—In your paper of October 5th, is a notice of a "meeting of colored citizens of Po'keepsie." The notice states the purpose for which the meeting was called, and winds up in the following language:

"A Political Suffrage Association was formed to co-operate with the State Association, to secure Equal Suffrage for colored citizens. The undersigned were elected officers of the said Association for one year from date:

"JOSEPH BOLING, Pres't.

"Uriah Boston, Sec'y."

Now, it will be known by Mr. Boston, and every person who was present at that meeting, that "the undersigned" (as he has it) were not elected officers of the Association; and why he has suppressed the names of the duly elected officers, and substituted others, it is supposed that he can tell. I am informed that a true list of the officers of the Association has been sent to you, so I need not name them here, but hope to see them in print, so that the Association may be fairly represented.

A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION.

HYDE PARK, October 11, 1855.
