A good day. Mr Owen and wife went to Strait Stone. Ben went to Gretna to meet the teacher. She did not come. Ben said that he saw Tenia Brumfield.

Ben and family went to see Lucuis Gravley this evening.

Mrs Daulton come here this morning and got some apples to can.

I went to see Carrie a while this evening.

Marvin went to Altavista to day.

A good day. A little rain not enought to do any harm. We all staid at home most of the day. Ben and family went to Marvins a while this evening. I did not go. Doris Brumfield and Christine Reynolds come a little while.

The meeting starts at St Andrews tonight.

A good day. The men folks cut corn this morning. Ben mowed peas this evening. The rest of them cut corn all day. Little Henry and the Owen boys worked at it all day. Josie sewed some this morning. This evening we picked peas. Mrs Owen and Beatrice picked all the evening. Mrs Dawson come after some apples and got them.

Carrie cooked the first meal on her new range this morning. Tobacco was so dry that we could not strip this morning. We had turnip salit for dinner and cornbread.

A good day. Ben Owen and the children cut corn. William Gilbert helped half of the day.

This evening Ben went to see a bout some lumber that he bought from Mrs Berger. Josie ironed this morning and picked peas this evening. I picked some beans. I went to Marvins a while this evening. Carrie was canning apples.

A good day there was frost this morning. The men finished cutting corn. Henry and Luke finished the corn while the others shocked. Josie got dinner.

I picked a few beans this evening. Josie sulphered some apples and made some pickle.

I dug a few potatoes and cut the sun flowers. To night Ben and Marvin has gone to Strait Stone for plow points.
