A very bad day. Rained a bout all day. Some fox hunters come by here this morning. They hunted all the morning. I don't know a bout there catching anything or not. I guess they got wet.

Jim & Ben and Owen and Marvin all played cards this evening a while.

The boys fix up the olde cotton gin and gined some cotton. I had intended going to Richmond to morrow but will not go. It has rained so much that we could hardly get to the depo.

I comenced a cap for Josie that she intends to give to Ella Hubard. Josie is bad off with a colde.

Clear this morning at five oclock then clouded up and has bin a very rainy day.

The men folks shucked some corn. Marvin went to Altavista with his waggon.

Henry & Edna went to school and came home through the rain. Mr Mayhew is here now. He eat supper with us and they are playing cards now. I got dinner & Josie ironed

A good day. Had a hard rain last night. Ben went to meet Jim this morning. They helped Marvin raise a stable this evening. We all was at Marvins this evening. Mollie Reynols was there. Kate Harvey sent me some turnip salit by Irvin.

Emmit Brumfield come with Paul Smith home this evening. Henry Blair is here tonight. They are playing cards. Edna has a bad cough.

A day that all could work. Jim & Ben and Mr Owen sawed wood then went to Marvins and cut some feed.

Josie got dinner. She made the sausage for Jim and her self. Bettie Haley (col) helped to cut the fat up and grind the sausage. I dried up the lard and strained it out. Bettie wshed the faces and feet.

Heard to day that Mrs Richard Wooding has a son.

Sallie Blair taught school in Miss Smiths room today.

Mrs Car sent Bessie Callans (col) a ring. She got it today.

Mr Owen went to the mill today. Brough me some brand. Jim & Ben & Josie played cards to night.

A rainy day. Jim & Ben & Jim put up the range and carried out my stove. The range is Bens.

I peiced two squars for Miss Willie Wooding for a quilt that she is going to give a way to some children at school.

Mr Mayhew come up here tonight to play cards.
