A cloudy day but no rain. Ben & Jim helped Johnson on the phone line. They eat with Johnson. Josie got dinner here. Edna ironed a little. I have set by the fire all day. I have a bad cold. Mrs Hutcherson & Denia Blair come this evening. The come on a buggy. I was glad that they come. I had bin wanting to see some of our folks so long.

Today 57 years ago I was married. Henry went to school. Tonight he has gone to Norman Booker. Two of Less Bookers children is there.

A good day. Jim went to Chatham to see his folks. Ben trimed on the orchard. Helped Norman Booker cut some logs for sills. Otto Blair and Sollie come to Bookers this evening. Josie went to Normans and staid until bed time. Franklin is sick a gain today. Mabel said a wake until ten oclock tonight. Ben and Josie got home at eleven. I am writing in Bens room tonight. I hope they all may feel better soon.

Another rainy day. Jim & Ben worked some when it was not raining. Ben helped Norman Booker a bout his stable this morning.

Marvin Smith came down for feed. He eat dinner with us. We were all so glad to see him. John & Edwin Brumfield come a while this evening. Grace come with them. We were all so glad to see them. Josie finish quilting on her quilt. I bound it this evening. Hattie washed to day. They did not get dry. I want it to get clear so bad.

A colde windy day.Ben went to the Mill at Level Run. Jim went to Chatham. He went with Norman Booker to Gretna. Ben worked a round the house all the evening. Henry went to Mr. Woodings and got some turnip salit. Josie got dinner. She has bin very [pert?pent] to day and I am glad. I hemed one quilt today. We all went to Mr. Booker's this evening. Mrs Jackson and Mrs Less Bookers was there. We had a pleasant evening. It is so colde tonight that we have fire like winter time.

A good day. Ben plowed some with a double plow. Jim plowed some in the garden. Norman Booker helped them some today. The children went to school all but Mabel and she cried most of the morning. Tonight she was good. Josie starched her clothes. I got a snack except make the bread. Josie done that. Josie milked this morning and tonight we both quilted some. Ben quilted some tonight. I have bin reading when I should of bin in bed. I am olde eneough to do better.
