Monday September 26, 1921
A cloudy day & cool no to do any good. Jim & Ben sowed some seeds. Ben went to the school house to a farmers meeting. He joined the unioin today. There was a big crowd so Ben said.
Jim is helping Marvin tie tobacco tonight. Ben & Mr Mayhew has gone hunting. Josie made Mabel a dress to day. We went to Marvins this evening a little while. I have bin sewin on a quilt tonight.
Monday October 17, 1921
A beautiful day. No sign of rain. Jim & Marvin moved some tobacco this morning. Ben went to Chalk Level to get some peices sawed to make a roller to roll their wheat land. They worked on the roller all evening and did not finish it. Josie sewed some on a dress for Edna.
I went to Marvins this evening. They are getting on very well there. Tonight Marvin & Ben has gone hunting.
We heard this morning that Mr Taz Wooding died last night. Will be buried tomorrow.

Thursday, January 1, 1920
A good day. Ben & Jim hunted some & put poles a round a plant bed.
Nellie went to see Mag & Kate. Edna went with her, Thelma and Mary & Evylin was here tonight. Ben and the girls went to Mrs. Gravelys to a dance. Josie got dinner. She had chicken and potato salid.
Tonight Denia & Isla Blair come and staid until bed time. We were glad to have them.

Thursday, January 5, 1922
A cloudy day. Jim & Ben worked on their plant beds. Elick Gibbon got in some wood for us today. Josie got dinner. She cooked turnip salit. It certainly was good. The children went to school. I went to Kate Harveys. I spent a pleasant day. Kate was ironing. Virginia was at home most of the time. Dr. Owen & Clack Hubbard went hunting. Johnson & Jim Thomson was hunting. I will be glad when they cant hunt birds any more. 10 oclock at night.

A good day. We eat three meals to day. Ben commenced to strip tobacco this morning. Henry went hunting & to the store this morning.
Mrs Car did not eat any breakfast this morning.
Josie is very bad off.
The children are at the dining room trying to play the fiddle & banjo.
I have bein very busy to day no one to help me except what Edna does. She brought all the water for tonight and wiped the dishes for me.
Well I have commenced in my new book and hope I may live to finis[h] it.
