Friday January 21, 1921
A good day. Jim went home. Marvin went to Gretna. Jim went with him that far. Ben helped Owen strip tobacco a while. Ben & Josie and the little children went to the school house. The car stuck in the mud as they came back home.
Tonight Marvin & Ben went to the farmers meeting to night. Josie got dinner & supper. Lees folks are having a dance. Oscar has bin hunting some one to make musick. Mr Owen would not go. His baby is sick. Mrs Edmon is sick. Marvin went to see her this evening. I have not bin well today.
I have 5 little chickens. Hope I can rais them.
Friday September 2, 1921
A clear hot day. Jim & Ben worked on the tobacco. Ben will work on his all night. Henry and Reese is hunting tonight. The proffessor for Renan School was here toay. I did not see him. Josie ironed most of the day. I got dinner.
This evening Reese carried me to White Falls. I fished. The boys bathed. I caught 31 fish.
Roy Smith carried 4 horn worms to see if the fish would bite them. (They would.)
Friday September 9, 1921
A cloudy day. Some rain this evening. We were so glad of what did fall.
Josie sewed this evening. I worked some button holes. Jim & Ben will stay at the barn tonight. Ben & Henry went hunting to night a while.
I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Come by the pea patch. There is a lot of peas dry and need to be gathered.
Ben & Marvin went to Mrs Kates place this evening and got a few apples. Fruit is hard to find a bout here this year.
Wednesday September 14, 1921
A good day. Jim worked on the land that they want to sow in grain. Ben hauled some wood this morning.
This evening Ben & Josie and Mabel went to Gretna. They got books for the children and cloth to make them clothes. Josie ironed all the morning. I have bin at home all day today. This evening Carrie and the little girls come down here and staid a little while. I was glad that they come. We need rain a gain very bad.
Saturday September 17, 1921
A good day. Was cloudy this morning but cleared off soon.
Ben jobed a round all day. Henry cut some corn. Josie got dinner. I washed a little. Ben carried Edna to Dr Owens this morning to have her lip worked on. I am troubled a bout her. Hope she may soon be well.
Reese carried me to White Falls. I caught a few fish. Paul & Roy went with us.
Ben has gone hunting tonight.
