Sunday April 17, 1921
A cloudy day and rain this evening. We all staid at home until noon. John and I walked to Johnson Reynolds. He brough us home on his car.
Mollie & Julia and Christenia and Mildred come with us home but did not get out of the car. Ben and family went to Marvins.
The weather has turned colde and the wind is blowing to night.
Friday May 6, 1921
A cloudy day and some rain. The men finished puting in the lights and went home this evening.
Ben went to Gretna for Mrs Car. Josie and Henry went with him. Jim went two. He went on to Chatham.
Mrs Car and Mr Hobson come with them home. I am glad that they come. Josie wanted her uncle to come so bad.
Reese & Paul & Roy and Christenia Reynols come a few minutes this evening.
Marvin & Woodall went to Altavista today. Julia F and Mildred was at Carries today.
Thursday May 26, 1921
Cloudy most of the day. Rain this evening. The boys worked on their tobacco most of the day. Ben went to the island for a washing machine.
Mollie Reynols and Julia Fergerson & little daughter come and spent the day. We were glad to have them. Floid come after them this evening.
Today is William Brumfield birth day. I would be glad to see him.
Dr Owen invited me to go fishing. I would of liked to go but it rained so that we could not fish. Hope he will ask me to go a gain.
Monday May 30, 1921
Cloudy most of the day. No rain. Ben & Jim worked on their tobacco.
Josie washed with Henrys help. I got dinner. This evening we went to Marvins. Julia Fergerson & Mildred was there. We did not get up the turkeys. Could not find them. Hope that it will not rain.
Wednesday June 1, 1921
A good day. The boys worked in their tobacco all day. Josie sewed some this morning. This evening she starched the clothes and ironed most of them.
I went with Carrie and the children to White Falls. They carried corn. The miller could not grind it but swaped meal for the corn. We fished some. Caught some fish. Stopped at Mount Airy and at Renan. Johnson & Mollie went to Chatham. They carried Mildred Fergerson with them.
