Thursday April 14, 1921
A cloudy day. No rain until night. Ben & Jim hauled old rails for stove wood.
Josie and I washed then got dinner. I churned. Josie sowed some. This evening I went to Marvins. Carrie had washed. Paul is very much complaining. Hope he will get well soon. I went to the plant bed and cut salit for dinner tomorrows dinner.
Tuesday August 23, 1921
Thursday AUGUST 23 A good day. Jim & Ben Hauled wood to the Barn. They are thinking a bout cutting tobacco tomorrow.
Josie milked two cows and churned and got dinner.
Marvin carried Grace & I to Worshams pond. We fished all the morning. Did not catch anything. We had dinner with us and enjoyed it.
I wish I was close to the pond so I could go and not bother no one. I am willing to worke as much as I am able. That is a bout all that I ask them to take me and some times they wont do that. I know that I give them here trouble.
Thursday August 25, 1921
A clear dry day. Jim finished cutting a cureing of tobacco this morning and hauled some wood.
Josie the most of the day. This evening she gathered some snaps and strung them.
I went to White Falls. Reese carried me & Paul & Roy. I think they had a good time batheing. Kate Harvey come & Mollie & Johnson come a while. I caught several fish. I peiced one block for my quilt.
Tuesday September 13, 1921
A bright day. Ben hauled wood after he got the engine to work. Jim plowed all day. The children went to school.
Josie & I washed. Josie used the machine part of the time. Josie got dinner. I sewed on a quilt.
This evening I went to Marvins. Carrie was at work on Roys pants.
Reese's possum got out of the box that is a [pen mark] He was gone this morning.

Saturday, January 3, 1920
A clear cold day. Ben went to Mr Edmons and killed his horse that got his leg broke. Jim & Owen and Ben cut and hauled some wood. I got the most of the dinner. Killed a chicken. Josie baked a cake this evening. Thelma & Mary has bin with us all day today. I held the little baby the most of the evening. 9 30 oclock
