A cloudy day. Snowed a little this evening. Ben & Jim shucked some corn this morning with snow on it then stripped tobacco. Mr Owen got some wood.

Josie and I washed some this morning. Josie got dinner & supper.

The children went to school. It has bin a very colde day.

A clear colde day. Ben finished stripping tobacco. Dave Walker went to Chatham. Jim went with him. Marvin carried them to Gretna. Josie got dinner. I washed some this morning. This evening Carrie come and all of the children a little while. I was glad that they come. Charles Harvey come in here a few minutes this evening.

I am so anxious to see all of the children. It keeps so colde that I cant go to see them and they dont come.

Ben got wood and water at the wash house this morning.

A colde and partly cloudy day. Ben cut and hauled some wood. Henry helped some. Henry went to Mount Airy. He rode Prince.

Josie washed this morning. This evening Carrie and the children come. Josie and Carrie made some candy. They made peanut and walnut candy. It was very nice and good. Heard today that Mr Doss was killed this morning. Blown up by a lighting tank at Mr Irbys.

A changable day. Clear tonight and the wind blowing. Jim and Ben hauled stalks and corn this morning. Ben hauled wood this evening. Jim cut in the woods. Josie baked a cake in the oil stove this morning.

I went to see Mrs Edmons. Found her sitting up. She looks feeble. She is improving. They have a col woman staying there. They were making a canvas for the plant beds. Miss Carter stopd here a while. We all are all ways glad to see her.

A cloudy day. Rain & thunder this evening. The first thunder cloud of the year. Henry went to school. Edna did not go.

Ben & Jim hauled some feed and corn this morning. Ben bought Kates heifer from Edmons this morning. Jim & Ben plowed this evening until it rained. Carrie come a few minutes.

Josie & Carrie went to the turnip patch to cut salit. It rained and they had to quit. I went to the plant bed this morning. This evening I sowed on the canvas for the plant bed.
