A good day. Ben & Jim suckered some tobacco. Ben went to Strait Stone and got some roofin. John & Edwin finished covering the barn and helpe work in the tobacco a while.

Ben carried Edwin & Christenia and Henry & Edna and I to White Falls. The river was two full & mudy. So we soon come home. I come by Johnsons. Mollie was makin grape jellie. Julia was washin some meal that she had bought. Kate Hubbard was taken sick today. I hope she will soon be well a gain. I come by Carries. She was pickin grapes.

A good day. I got breakfast and milked the cows then Ben carried Cordie and I to Long Island. We come on the Virginian R-R to Alberta. The[re] we had to wait for a train until dark then we came to Richmond. Willie & Julia met us at the depot. We come on a street car to Willies house. Effie had a good supper. I am so glad that we got here ok.

A good day. We are at Wills yet. Guess they wonde what happened that we did not come home.

Wills children had company this evening. Miss Wood & Miss Thomas, Mr Haynes, Will and Julia Brumfield and Emily & I went walkin this evening. It was so dark that I could not see much. Cordie & Thelma went to see Alma Bennett tonight. Willie Brumfield & Jack Harvey left tonight, one for Bluefield & one for Ashland, N C to a doctors meeting. Effie is washing dishes now.

A cloudy day and rain this evening. We all staid at home until noon. John and I walked to Johnson Reynolds. He brough us home on his car.

Mollie & Julia and Christenia and Mildred come with us home but did not get out of the car. Ben and family went to Marvins.

The weather has turned colde and the wind is blowing to night.
