A good day. Jim & Ben staid a round the barns most of the day. Mr. Owen went to the mill. Did not get his grinding. Ben went to Altavista this evening. He went after Owens sister. While he was there he bought a little sack of flour.

Josie got dinner. Nellie caned some apples.

Evylin & Henry and I went to White Falls fishing. Marvin carried us and come after us. He had a blow out as he went over there.

Marvin went to preaching this evening.

A good day. Jim is at on [sic] the tobacco. Henry went to drive the horses up this morning and Pomp kicked him. Did not hurt him very bad. We are all so glad it is no worse.

Ben went to Cedar Forest this morning a bout the school work. Mrs Car come with him home. I am glad that she came to see Josie.

This evening Henry & Reese and I went to White Falls and I fished. The children played. Jim cut some corn this evening.

Carrie & the children come down here a while this evening. Jack Harvey eat supper here tonight and will stay at the barn tonight.

A good day. Ben & Jim and Jack Harvey moved some tobacco this morning. Franklin fell out of the waggon in the wheel and got hurt right bad. This evening Jim went to White Falls to the mill.

Ben & Jack finished painting the roof of the house.

Josie washed a good washing for her to do.

Carrie and all the children but Reese come down here. I killed & dressed a chicken and dug some potatoes and went to the orchard and got a basket of apples.

I am counting on going fishing in the morning.

Cloudy but no rain. Ben & Owen stripped Henrys tobacco today.

This evening Ben carried the children and I to White Falls fishing. Henry caught five. I caught 14. Mrs Car helped me dress them. I was glad of help.

We had beef for dinner. Carrie gave it to us.

Henry Patrick come here today to see Mrs Car on business.

Ben and Marvin has gone hunting.

A cloudy day. The men stripped tobacco to day. Josie got dinner and supper. Nellie brough the water.

This evening Ben carried Henry and I to White Falls. I caught 30 fish. Henry caught five. Ben killed two squirrels.

I got three letters to day. One from Effie, John, & Julia Fergerson. I am always so glad to get letters.

I dug the bait to fish with. Edna helped me get them. She is a good help when she will.
