A good day. Jim stripped tobacco. Ben worked on Dews's car this morning. This evening he painted on the cow shed & hen house roofs.

Josie got dinner.

Effie & Beaula Brumfield come to see a bout getting schools. I went to Worshams pond. Isla Blair went with me. We did not catch any fish. We drove Bens hores.

Paul Bennett went from Marvins this morning. Henry Blair carried him to Gretna.

A good day. Jim and Owen went to Gretna with the tobacco today. Ben went to Gretna with the car. He bough roofing for the hen houses.

Carrie spent the day with Josie.

Lee Brumfield and I went to the river. Lee caught one fish. I did not catch any thing. I was glad to go with him. I bought 10 pounds of sugar from Oscar Booker. I stopped at Mr Dillards while Lee & Dillard gathered some chinquapins.

Marvin went to Danville today. Reese went with him.

Cloudy but no rain. Ben & Owen stripped Henrys tobacco today.

This evening Ben carried the children and I to White Falls fishing. Henry caught five. I caught 14. Mrs Car helped me dress them. I was glad of help.

We had beef for dinner. Carrie gave it to us.

Henry Patrick come here today to see Mrs Car on business.

Ben and Marvin has gone hunting.

A cloudy day. The men stripped tobacco to day. Josie got dinner and supper. Nellie brough the water.

This evening Ben carried Henry and I to White Falls. I caught 30 fish. Henry caught five. Ben killed two squirrels.

I got three letters to day. One from Effie, John, & Julia Fergerson. I am always so glad to get letters.

I dug the bait to fish with. Edna helped me get them. She is a good help when she will.

A beautiful day. Very warm. Jim & Owen got up some corn this morning. Ben milked for me this morning and carried me to Worshams pond. Cordie Blair went with me. We did not catch any fish.

Mrs Edmonds & Carrie Smith come to see Josie. I would of liked to have seen them.

Ben went to Graves Moses and got dog. He brought her home on the car.

Mrs Booker come to the mail box & Cordie and I was there. I was glad to see her for a few minutes. I regard her as one of the nob[l]est women that I know.
