Cloudy most of the day. No rain. Ben & Jim worked on their tobacco.

Josie washed with Henrys help. I got dinner. This evening we went to Marvins. Julia Fergerson & Mildred was there. We did not get up the turkeys. Could not find them. Hope that it will not rain.

Josie dressed two chickens to night for breakfast.

A good day. The boys worked in their tobacco all day. Josie sewed some this morning. This evening she starched the clothes and ironed most of them.

I went with Carrie and the children to White Falls. They carried corn. The miller could not grind it but swaped meal for the corn. We fished some. Caught some fish. Stopped at Mount Airy and at Renan. Johnson & Mollie went to Chatham. They carried Mildred Fergerson with them.

A good day. Ben carried John to Gretna. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Mabel went with them. Ben did not stay long. Then he plowed in his tobacco. Jim plowed some and then mowed hay. Them and Marvin have gone to the school house to hear speakin to night.

Josie planted some pepper this morning then got dinner. This evening she gathered some black berries and went to Marvins.

I got breakfast and milked the cows & fed the chickens and churned. Cut some quilt peices and went to Marvins. Come home. Fed & milked. Brought two buckets of water.

A good morning. There was colouds a round this evening. Very little rain here. We need rain very bad.

Ben & Jim worked in Jims tobacco today. John & Edwin Brumfield come today. John wanted to see Mr Layne a bout some land at Gretna.

Josie got dinner by her self. She had a good dinner. I washed some this morning and sewed on my quilt this evening.

Ben & Josie and Edna & Henry and Julia have all gone to Strait Stone tonight.

A good day. A little rain tonight. It is needed so bad. Jim & Ben & Henry worked on the tobacco most of the day. Ben went to the mill at Cedar Forest. The water was so low that they could no grind. Franklin and I went with him. I fished a fished caught two fish.

Josie ironed some. Julia got a dress by mail. I am glad that she got it.

No one from here did not go to the show to night. It is raining now.
