A little rain this morning. Clear this evening. Ben & Jim and Henry went to work in the tobacco this morning. Word came that Miss Ursal[?] Lewis was lost from the milkin place. The boys from here and all over the neighborhood went to look for her. They found her unharmed. She just went a way because she was mad. Josie raked and worked on the yard. I was afraid she would be sick. Denia & Sallie Blair come here this evening. I was at Johnson Reynols. They had a crowd this evening. Mrs Kellie & Grace Brumfield & Mrs Dr Owen and six children, Kate Harvey and I. They had plenty of water mellons. Two men was going to speak at Renan school house tonight.

A clear dry day. Jim worked on the barn. Ben went to Strait Stone to get the waggon tire cut. He got horse shoes and put them on him self.

Tonight Ben & Josie have gone to Cedar Forest. The children are all here. Franklin & Mabel have gone to sleep. Henry is up stairs reading. Edna has polished my shoes. I am glad that she did.

I washed some today. Josie got dinner and cleaned the yard some.

Marvin & Carrie went to Strait Stone this morning. Carrie got goods to make Paul blouses. I was there this evening. She was sewing on them.
