A cloudy day no rain.

Ben Kate and I went by Java
and on to Chatham. Kate put in
a plea for Chesley Edmons to
come home and strip his tobacco.

Josie milked the cows for me
this morning. Paul and the Owens
stripped tobacco and Josie helped
what she could. Ben and I got
back a bout dinner time.
Eat dinner. Ben went to the
saw mill. I tied tobacco
got done be fore night. I went
to Marvins a little while.

Heard today that Clifton
Reynolds
is very sick hope
he may be better soon.

Had a Letter from Jim today.
I am glad that he was well.
Hope he may stay well.
