dated 8th. Commencing fighting Richard White-
head wounded 6th & hear from a letter John
Powers wrote Jerry & Echols was taken
some where as prisoners — Rained today.
19. Planting new ground & fresh ground
corn to day & finished Planting Peas &
Snaps, Pumpkin seed & simblings -
Began to Plow in Corn to day
23. Began to weed corn this morning
weed out Irish Potatoes, Plowing Corn
26. Been to Lynchg, gloomy times there
Stores nearly all shut up & men in
Camp. Rained while I was gone.
27 weeding corn & going to sew oats
on Creek again this evening.

Sheared Sheep this day 28 old ones.
Cut 7 Ram Lambs Turn out 1 Rams
& marked 8 Ewe Lambs Bybee marked
& cut them - nearly finished sewing oats to day
Rained yesterday & Hailed some —
cut & spayed 5 Hogs here some one stole
3 shoats we have in pen 2 & Henry one 1
5 old Hogs, 1 Boar, 4 sows, 3 shoats & 7
Pigs & at Plantation 17 stock Hogs, shoats
4 sows & 12 Head Cattle & calves & 4 steers.
