1871 Janry 14th Sent Sam to Mill 1 Barrel Corn for me
meal & some for Mrs Wyatt to Yates Mill could
not get it no water in the Pond cloudy & like
for rain very moderate weather warm

15. warm night & began to Rain soon this morning
& rained nearly all day long & sometimes
quite hard till 1 or 2 Oclock then stoped

16th. clear morning lent JJ Kelley at old Place
15 Bags 3 old ones lent to Carry oats & corn in -to Carry our wheat there to Lynchg
Hauling shucks to feed with & took down a little
Tobacco in barn back of Garden to strip,
Marten Smith moved to where Keatts lived last
year & is to live with me this year I give
him 4th part of what we make agreeable to
our bargain which I will write & close in
a few days. 3 waggons started from old
place with near 100 Bus. wheat to Lynchg
to pay Taxes, Jesse J Kelley going give $5½
to pay toll, I am to give 9¢ pBus. & find them
contents of Box I found myself to clerical
Chch to Richmond & sent by old place waggon
& letter to Colo Hamner Lynchg viz.
1 Bushel meal for JW Graves
1 Do Do for JH Graves
½ Bushel flour for JW Graves
near ½ Bushel Irish Potatoes by JW Graves
2 ps Pickled beef by JW Graves
½ Bushel meal by Mrs L Wooding
1 shoulder Pickled Pork by same —
Several from the Church at S Stone was to
Send & Bro. Yates was to make the Box & they
failed to make the Box or to send any thing
to put in it Plowing for oats Doron & Ben

18. Plowing for Oats Doron & Ben, Martin
Smith began to work here yesterday 17th as
pr agreement. Sam & Martin & Lewis Cutting
in new ground big growth, - my Hogs all
gone except young sow & her pigs the other
gone for about 4 days have not seen nor heard
of them at all, little cloudy to day.
