My Dear Mrs. Sewall: I was gald to get a line from you again, and glad to have a line directly from the Baroness von Beschwitz, whom I missed seeing in Dresden.

I had a glorious summer and am refreshed every way by it. It seemed too bad that I could not have known earlier about the Ceopenhagen meeting so that I might have included it in my travels. In my return - the middle of September - I went directly (within a week) to Idaho and worked through the Congressional campaign. I am quite delighted with the course and the present results of the franchise there. The women are calm and thoughtful intelligent and wise in their use of the new weapon. I am proud of them. whole situation. I hope Wolcott will be defeated in Colorado. He will know the women will have had a big part in it. The whole party may learn [?] a while, [?] they are so slow.

I hope for New Hampshire. If I were [?] financially I would [?] there from now until the vote is taken.
