Monday, July 16, 1923

A cloudy morning, rain
at twelve oclock. Jim
got up some rock. Ben
went to the mill. He got
wet coming home. Had
to change clothes. He eat
dinner and him and Henry went
to Mr. Mayhews and play
croquet. The Mayhews
had supper be fore Ben and
Henry come home. Said they
had fresh fish. Mayhew
went seining this morning
and caught several fish.
John Hutcherson run a
gainst Clack Hubbards
horse and brok his leg
and then they killed
the horse. I am sorry
that it happened.
The children and I caught
a [?enty] young chickens
and put them up.
Will sell them soon
I guess.
