Tuesday, June 5, 1923

A good day. No rain
yet. The men watered
the plant beds.
Hattie washed here
today. Done a good job.
Ben went to Gretna
and to Mr. Pools for
a tobacco planter.
Edna and Mabel and I
went to Johnson to
see Julia Fergerson.
She was at work.
We met Kate Hubbard
and Christina [and?] Jannie
Brumfield comeing
to see us. They went
back and we with
them.
Ben bought some beans
to day. The weather is
so dry that vegetables
cant grow much.
